Placement Guidelines

Our goal is to place students in a class where they can learn, grow, and be challenged. If a class is too easy, they will get bored, but if it is too hard, they may get frustrated. Most students will remain at the same class level for 1-3 years. (Remember, our advanced dancers are only at level 4.) Typically, when a student moves up an age level, they will go down a class level. For example, a student in a 6-8 Level 2 class would move up to a 9-14 Level 1 class. Of course, each student is evaluated on their unique abilities, however, we would prefer to move a student up a level, instead of down. So it is better to begin dancing at a lower level and to work your way up. If you have any concerns about your class level, please feel free to talk to the teacher or the studio director.

Placement in any classes above Level 1 may require a teacher recommendation and is subject to teacher approval.

Safety Policy

Our student's safety is of primary importance!

Students of all ages should be walked into the dance studio by their parent or chaperone. If they are to go home with someone other than the person who dropped them off, please let the teacher or desk person know when they are dropped off.

Parents should arrive to pick up their child BEFORE the class ends. Students should be picked up on time and should not be left in the lobby. Please make sure your child knows not to leave the studio without you.
